Big Shout Out to Audrey!
Audrey hosted another fabulous party this year. The book Wicked made for an excellent discussion and all the extra touches were great including the yellow brick road, green fountain, and steaming cauldron of wine. We had a great turn out and had two new members join us. So a big thank you to Audrey for a wonderful evening!

From the moment we walked into Audrey's house greeted by the yellow brick road to the ending memories of green gooey charred emmantaler wafting through the air, it was a well planned event and certainly worthy of a gold star! The book discussion on Wicked was extremely entertaining, enlightening and engaging. Although the Queen did have to reel us in many times, I don't believe that a book has ever been documented in a love/hate relationship. Most girls loved the book, but hated reading it. Hmmm...? Interesting confliction, yet exactly why we are in a book club.
ReplyDeleteThis was a fun night, with new bee's, almost all the old bee's and a few long distance bee's returned to the hive. We are extremely lucky to have such a great group of drinking girls with a reading problem.
Do have to mention though that we missed Lisa Bee and wish her well as she is dealing with the loss of her Dad. We definitely feel the need to support our friends and look forward to seeing Lisa next month. Maybe if we are lucky we can get a shot of Patron into her and see her Tat again! :)
