So I have really wanted to go to a farm recently, especially one where I can take my daughter to pick out a pumpkin. We were able to go to Venetucci Farms last year with her school, but that isn’t an option this year. I know they have had trouble with having enough pumpkins to go around for the last few years so I was looking for somewhere else to go. Has anyone been to a farm to pick pumpkins in Colorado? I have been reading about Miller Farms Northeast of Denver and Anderson Farms just a little Northwest of Denver in Erie. Has anyone been to either of these farms?
Right now Anderson farms is doing a deal for 50% off the cost of a family of 4 to visit the farm and they have a Fall Festival which includes tractor rides and pumpkin chucking so that sounds the most promising. hey hun theres one in monument we go to every year that has a bunch of fun stuff for kids including tractor and hay rides..i will have to get back with you on the name because this is also through a preschool=)millicent
ReplyDeleteNora~ I checked on Happy Apple Orchard in Penrose and they say their pumpkin patch is loaded:) Vara & I picked apples one year out there. They have free tractor rides, fresh apple cider, and they're still picking berries I think. It was a nice place when we went a few years ago and not too far!

So after looking at about half-a-dozen farms now I think I will head down to Happy Apple Farms this weekend. Their website says they still have a little bit of raspberries. But they are all done with Apples for the year. So if anyone wants to go with me this weekend let me know.
