We will be reviewing the manuscript Informed Consent: A Memoir of Hope by Amanda Rose Adams.
Amanda will be attending January book club and will listen to our reviews. She is not afraid of criticism and is looking forward to our input so Sue has promised we will be honest. Take notes as you are reading and bring them with you.
What a pleasure and honor to have Amanda Adams as our special guest at January's book club meeting! I think it's fair to say we were all extremely surprised to learn the stats... that congenital heart defects happen in one in 125 births. And then as the group started to share personal experiences and people we know, it supported the stats. It suddenly put it all into perspective. We all fell in love with Liam (Amanda's son) - such a handsome and witty young man! - and were fascinated with what each member of the Adams family has experienced. Sure, there were tears at book club, but there were many smiles and laughter too. We applaud Amanda and her family and all they've been through and what they face ahead. We hope the 'facing ahead' is filled with hope, happiness, and renewed healthy hearts! Thank you Amanda for sharing with us!
